Warranty terms · draft

The warranty, in draft.

This is how we intend the warranty to work for apps in the private beta. It is not in force, and it will change after legal review. Nothing here is an offer.
  1. 1

    What is covered

A behaviour written on your approved list that stops working for your users, after a change Warrantee made and you merged.

  2. 2

    What we do

We fix it at our cost and prove the fix against your whole list. If we can't fix it, we refund what you paid for that work. Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the previous twelve months.

  3. 3

    What changes afterwards

Your list gets a new line describing the failure, so it is checked on every change from then on.

  4. 4

Service credits, for apps we keep

When a covered failure reaches your users, a credit comes off the next month's fee, scaled to how many failures there were and capped at that month's whole fee. Credits are the only remedy for the month itself; the fix above still happens. Claim within 30 days of the failure.

  5. 5

    What is not covered

Changes made outside Warrantee; behaviours that aren't on your list; outages of services we don't control, such as your hosting, database, payment or email providers (they carry their own guarantees); changes to the contract you made yourself; and losses beyond the refund.

  6. 6

    How to report a failure

From your jobs page, with "Something broke". We confirm whether it is covered and start the fix.
