Cancellation and refunds

You pay for proven work, and nothing else.

Approving a job holds its price. The hold is charged only on delivery, so most of the time there is nothing to refund.

Proven and delivered

The hold is charged. That's the only time money moves to us.

Not proven, or cancelled

The hold is released. You were never charged.

Breaks after delivery

Covered failures are re-fixed free, or refunded if we can't fix them.

Draft. These terms apply from the private beta and will change after legal review.

  1. 1

    Before you approve

Cancel any job at no charge. Nothing is held until you approve.

  2. 2

    After you approve, before delivery

Write to us to cancel. Work stops and the hold is released. If a job can’t be proven against its tests, the hold is released automatically.

  3. 3

When a released hold reaches you

Stripe (US dollars): the hold disappears at once, though your bank may take a few days to show it. Razorpay (rupees): a hold we don’t charge is returned automatically within 5 days; for UPI and some cards the amount was taken at payment, and your bank returns it in 5 to 7 working days after that.

  4. 4

    After delivery

If a behaviour on your approved list stops working because of a change we made, we fix it at our cost. If we can’t, we refund what you paid for that work, in full, to the way you paid. Refunds reach you in 5 to 7 working days.

  5. 5

    What isn't refunded

Work that was delivered and meets its approved tests, when the request itself changes afterwards. A change of mind is a new job.

  6. 6

    How to ask

From your jobs page, with “Something broke”. We answer within two working days.
