Terms of service · draft

The terms, in plain words.

What you can expect from Warrantee, and what we expect from you.

Draft. These terms apply from the private beta and will change after legal review.

  1. 1

    The service

Warrantee uses AI engineers to build, fix and look after software. For each job we write down what “done” means as a list of tests, and deliver the work only once every test passes.

  2. 2

    Your approval

No work starts until you approve a job’s tests and price. You can send a draft back with notes up to three times, or close the job, at no charge.

  3. 3

    Price and payment

Each job has one fixed price, shown before you approve it. Approving places a hold for that amount with Razorpay or Stripe. We charge the hold only when the job is proven and delivered; if it isn’t, the hold is released. See cancellation and refunds.

  4. 4

    Delivery

We deliver as a pull request to your repository or a zip of the code. See delivery.

  5. 5

    Who owns the work

You do. Code we deliver for a job you paid for is yours, with the tests that prove it. We keep no rights in it beyond what we need to do the job and honour the warranty.

  6. 6

    Your part

You must have the right to the code and repositories you give us, and you mustn’t ask for anything unlawful or harmful. Review what we deliver before you put it live; you decide what to merge and release.

  7. 7

    The warranty

Covered failures after delivery are fixed at our cost, as the warranty describes.

  8. 8

    Limits

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or data, or for services we don’t control, such as your hosting.

  9. 9

    Closing an account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

  10. 10

    Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
